Slow Cooker Sweet Potato-apple Sauce - Use it in yogurt, mix it with granola, why not make muffins with it!

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato-Apple Sauce

This sauce can be used the way that you would use any regular applesauce. You can also stir it into plain yogurt for breakfast, mix with some granola, or you can use it to bake with. Why not try using it to make my 2 ingredient muffins.

Note the number of apples and sweet potatoes needed will vary, depending on the size of your slow cooker. Try and use about 2/3 apples and 1/3 sweet potato.

INGREDIENTS

6-8 large apples of your choice, peeled, cored and roughly chopped

1-2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped

1/4 cup of water

DIRECTIONS

Place all the ingredients into your slow cooker

Cook on HIGH for about 3 hours or on LOW for about 6-8 hours until well softened

Leave to cool slightly and then blend in a food processor to a smooth consistency, unless you prefer a chunkier texture

The sauce can be stored in the fridge or frozen
